In Loretto, there were two hotels. One was located across the dstreet of the current post office, at the location of the Highland house. The other was the old McDonald Hotel, located past the W.A.B. Little store near the old post office, at the turn into St. Francis College. It was later owned by the O'Connor family. A third hotel was the Loretto Springs, just outside of town in the Schwab Estate.
