Notes for Dennis (Spouse 1)
Dennis emigrated from County Derry, Ireland, and lived in Lancaster, Pa. for four years. They relocated to Loretto and purchased farmland from Prince Gallitzin, where they lived for five years. They then sold the property and bought another parcel near Ebensburg, Pa., in 1809.
Dennis was contracted to construct a section of the Northern Pike (the predecessor to what is now known as Route 22) which was completed in 1820.
