At the time of her parents’ divorce in 1950, her mother Patsy was given custody over her. However, in January of 1969, Linda was the subject of guardianship proceedings brought by her father in Lorain County, Ohio, in which notice was served by publication in the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram on Patricia Hill, whose last known address was in Pasadena, Tex. Linda was ultimately raised by an aunt, Lauretta Fuller, of Avon Lake, Oh.

Linda lived in Lorain, Oh., and was a receptionist at different doctors’ offices before becoming an assistant manager for the Sunshine Family Bookstore in Elyria, for 8 years. She also served as director of the Pioneer Girls and was a summer camp counselor. She died three weeks after a brain aneurism.
