George was a veteran of the Korean War and a coal miner. He was killed when a tractor he was operating overturned and pinned him, while hay was being raked on a steep hill at the formed Lou McConnell farm, five miles north of Ebensburg, Pa. The vehicle evidently overturned when it hit a hole. Philip Campbell, 50, and Earl Anna, 56, were on the tractor fenders at the time and survived, although Mr. Campbell sustained serious injuries.
