Virgilio and Clotilda are found in the 1900 Census as farmers in LaGrange, Ga. Virgilio had previously declared his intent to naturalize in Western Pa. on February 14, 1894, and became a U.S. citizen in Duquesne, Pa., on October 22, 1904. He and Clotilda, sometimes known as Matilda, then settled in Duquesne, where Virgilio operated a grocery store. Virgilio died of carcinoma of the stomach.
