Known as “Bud.” He was a flight mechanic and nose gunner in the 90th Bomb Group out of the 5th Army Air Corp during WWII. He and Joyce lived briefly in Choteau, Wash., and moved to North Dakota where he farmed in the Buford/Trenton Irrigation District for 20 years. Bud also worked for the ND Historical Society at Fort Buford for 20 years, retired and moved back to Choteau in 1988. He was an agate gem cuttter, jewelry maker and taxidemist.
