Notes for Cecil Joseph Farabaugh
Cecil was in the Army during WW II, though he did not serve overseas. He and Mildred lived for many years in New Castle, Pa., where he was self-employed. Cecil had two stepsons.

On June 30, 1957, Cecil survived a serious truck accident. He was driving a tractor-trailer rig and had stopped to assist a disabled truck and driver near McKees Rocks, Pa., at 3 AM. A jack under the trailer slipped and hit Cecil in the face, and the wheels fell on his leg. Cecil had a compound fracture on his leg, possible jaw fracture and a fracture at the base of his skull. In 1961, his home with Mildred in New Castle was completely destroyed by fire while they were visiting an ill relative in Youngstown, Oh. The fire was believed to be caused by faulty wiring.
