Notes for Paul Fredrick (Spouse 1)
Paul (Fred) and Donna settled in Altus, Okla. Fred enlisted in the Air Force in 1956 and served with the military police throughout his career. He was stationed at Wurtsmith AFB, Michigan, Myrtle Beach, SC and at Naha AFB in Okinawa. He had a tour of duty in Vietnam, 1964-65. Fred went to Altus AFB in Oklahoma in December of 1968 and retired there in 1976, with the rank of Technical Sgt., while serving as NCO in charge of correctional custody. He was then employed at Western Oklahoma State College from 1986 to 1993. He was a Grand Knight with the Knights of Columbus organization in Altus.

According to family lore, Fred and Donna took a ride to Maryland, and when they returned were Mr. and Mrs. During the return they ran out of gas in the middle of nowhere, but were rescued by a farmer with a gas pump on his truck. They had no money but the farmer offered the gas for free.
