Amandus was a mechanic for a farm implements store, and lived at R.D. 1, Carrolltown, Pa. He never married. Following an autopsy, his early death was determined to be from a brain hemorrage two months after suffering from a “recurrent intracerebral aneurysm.” He died at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa.
