The Boxlers settled in Waynesboro, Va. Thomas was an Army veteran. He worked as a manager of the maintenance department of the Ethan Allen Furniture Factory. Thomas joined the Knights of Columbus in 1996 and was highly active in the organization, helping with many projects for the church and community.
