Notes for James George (Spouse 1)
James and Barbara settled in Johnstown, Pa. James served in W.W. II and is a machinist at the Johnstown Plant of Bethlehem Steel Co. He and Barbara died in a vehicular accident on Route 422 near Kittanning. James was driving their minivan and drifted across the center divide, colliding head on with a pickup truck driven by Austin H. Dailey of Kittanning. Dailey was a worker at Altmeyer’s Fabricating and was returning the truck to a customer; the Boxlers were en route to visit relatives in Ohio. The couple was killed instantly and Dailey survived. An autopsy on James could not determine if he suffered a heart attack, fell asleep or if he lost control for some other reason.
