Notes for Frederick Lee Riddell
Fred was raised in New Florence, Pa. By 1918 he relocated to Conemaugh, where he worked as a car repairer for the Pennsylvania Railroad. He served in the “student’s Army” at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, from October to December of 1918, during WWI. Fred became a steel worker.

The Riddells settled in Johnstown, Pa. Census records from 1900 show that Aurelia was raised in the 9th Ward of Johnstown.
