Notes for Carl L. Mahan
Carl was an Army veteran of the Korean War, serving in the 317th Engineer Combat Battalion in Frankfort, Germany, from 1953-54. He was an office worker for Bethlehem Steel for 28 years. Carl was well known for establishing the area’s first Venetian Blind and Manufacturing Company with his father. He was also active in numerous civic organizations, including Cursillo Movement Prison Ministry, the Johnstown Rod and Gun Club and the Johnstown Camera Club.
