Notes for Mary Margaret Ager
Following the death of her husband Bert, Margaret worked as a telephone company clerk while living in Jeannette, Pa. By 1930, she was remarried to John P. Kennedy and lived in Penn borough.
Notes for Albert (Spouse 1)
Bert was raised in Carroll Township, Cambria County, Pa. In 1891, it was reported that Augustine Luther of Carroll Township and Albert Farabaugh were working on new bridge abutments on the Conemaugh River between Coopersdale and Morrellville, when their boat took on water mid stream. Albert worked his way to safety but Augustine Luther, who could not swim, drowned.

At the time of marriage in April of 1896, Bert was a teacher. The following month, he was appointed Postmaster in Pineton, Indiana County. In 1900, Bert was a timekeeper and the family lived in Tunnelhill, Pa. Bert and Maggie then lived at Kittanning Point. An Albert “Fairbaugh” is identified as a laborer near Pittsburgh in the 1906 and 1908 Polk Directories. In 1906, the family was in Delaney, Pa., and Albert was identified as a bookkeeper.

In 1910, Bert was a railroad clerk and the family lived in Pitcairn, Pa. By this time they were raising Mary’s niece, Rose Ager. An Albert “Farbaugh” is later found listed as a foreman in the Polk Directory for Altoona in 1919.

At the time of Bert’s death in 1919, he was a bookkeeper for the H.C. Frick Coke Company and the family was living in Jeannette, Pa. Bert died from hypertrophic cirrhosis of the liver.
