Settled at Mineral Point, Pa. Harlan was employed by the Pa. Liquor Control Board for 34 years as district manager. He was also a Navy veteran.

Ann died of brain cancer. She was known for her homemade bread. Her last loaf was kept frozen by her husband Harlan for many years, and upon his death the loaf was placed in his casket. Ann and Harlan first had a son, named Patrick or William, that they were made to give up by Ann’s mother. The child was placed with a relative that was not disclosed to them.
