George was a native of Patton, Pa., but lived for 38 years in Southfield, Mich. He was a warehouse supervisor for the A & P Tea Co. for 45 years before his retirement in 1966. He moved to the area of Detroit prior to 1925. It was there that he met his wife Sylvia, who hailed from Frugality, Pa. George later acquired the family home at 1008 Beech Avenue, Patton, and lived there in his later years. The home was later unoccupied and was burned down.
