Notes for Richard Louis Hamlin
Dick settled in Phoenix, Az. He was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in 1949 and pitched for Class A and AA teams affiliated with the Indians and New York Giants, retiring with the Johnstown Johnnies in 1956. He compiled a record of 47-63 in the minor leagues. He moved to Scottsdale, Az., in 1961 and worked for J.T. Jenkins, Southwest Kenworth and Inland Kenworth, retiring in 1997. Dick was known for his sense of humor and was inducted into the Akron Baseball Hall of Fame in 1989.
