Notes for Walter Mark Lauer
In 1910, Walter was a steel mill heater, boarding with his brother-in-law Walter Wolf in East Conemaugh, Pa. In 1918, Walter WWI draft registration card indicates he was a married mill hand at the Cambria Steel Co. in Conemaugh, Pa.
He later lived in Girard, Ohio. The 1920, 1930 and 1940 Censuses all find Walter there with his wife Bertha and daughters Rose and Dorothy. The latter Census indicates Walter was a steel mill stoker. In about 1942, Walter was working for the Concrete Steel Co. in Youngstown, Pa.
