Edna was known as “Snookie.” After her mother’s untimely death, she apparently was not raised by her father. In 1920, Edna at the age of 5 was living at the extended household of her Cole grandparents in Altoona, Pa. By 1940, she was living in Garmantown with the family of her aunt, Althea Lantzy. Althea’s obituary listed Edna as her daughter. At the time of Edna’s death, she was a resident of Altoona.
