In her youth, Betty was a science teacher at the Philipsburg State Hospital School of Nursing, Philipsburg, Pa. She was later director of student activities at the Univ. Pittsburgh at Johnstown for many years and also had posts at Briarcliffe College, Misericordia and Marist College. She last lived in Coraopolis, Pa.
