Notes for Mathias Earl Farabaugh
Matt was raised in Barr Township, Cambria County, Pa. In 1930, He was a tool and hardware salesman, living with Blanche in Wilmore, Pa. They later settled near Loretto, Pa. Matt is remembered as one of Loretto’s more colorful characters, living remotely off the Syberton Road, driving very slowly through town in an ancient black Ford while chomping on a massive, unlit cigar.

Although he was christened "Matthew," Matt was better known as "Mathias,” as indicated in the 1900 Census.
