Robert died at the age of six. He suffered a concussion, fractured skull and a compound fracture of his right tibia when accidentally struck by a truck in Ebensburg, Pa., and died at 6 a.m the following morning at Mercy Hospital in Johnstown, Pa. Witnesses indicated that Robert ran from a sidewalk onto the street, and into the side of a moving truck in Ebensburg owned by the Century Gas and Oil Co. of Blairsville. A coroner’s jury exonerated the driver, J.O. Luther of Homer City.
