Notes for Regis Eulogius Farabaugh
Regis died in an auto accident. His car skidded while rounding a curve near Salem, Ohio, and hit a tree. Regis was thrown through the windshield. He incurred a skull fracture, became unconscious and died at a local community hospital. Regis was identified from his Knights of Columbus traveling card on his person. He was returning to work in Akron after visiting his wife and child during the 4th of July holiday in Carrolltown, Pa. The car was being driven by a friend of his wife’s family, Mrs. Mattie Meredith, who took the wheel upon entering Ohio, to allow Regis to rest. Mrs. Meredith suffered shock and contusions but survived the crash.
