Notes for Henry Celestine Bechel
Henry was raised in Barr Township, Cambria County, Pa. and his family continued to live in the same township. He was a coal miner and a farmer. His cause of death is listed as “acute dilatation of heart, due to toxemia from nephritis, with edema.”
According to his obituary, Henry was “an excellent citizen who will be greatly missed in his community.” His descendants assumed the surname "Bechel," and are not to be confused with the “Beckel” families that lived in Barr Township at around the same time.
