In his youth, Harry was a clerk for the Pennsylvania Railroad in Altoona, Pa. In the 1930 Census, he was a married roomer with James and Mabel Freud in Cleveland, Oh., where he worked as an auditor for a hotel. In 1942, he was living in Jackson Heights, Queens, NY, where he was employed at Billy Rose’s Diamond Horseshoe at the Paramount Hotel. In 1990, he was still a resident of Jackson Heights.
