Dennis served in the U.S. Army for two years in Frankfort, Germany. He became a sales manager of construction equipment for the Western division of the Cumins Engine Company. As newlyweds, he and Rose Mary lived in San Francisco, Ca. Dennis was engaged in the diesel engine industry, including six years in the Far East. He retired in 1996 as V.P. of Sales with a Northern Ohio distributor.
