Also listed are is 27 year old wife Maria, also born in Germany, and their children Margaret (6), John (5), Andy (3), Joseph (1), all born in Pa., Catherine Hout (34) born in Germany and Rosanna Hout (17), born in Germany. Also listed in the household are miners Anthony Knoll (27), James Geary (60), Michael Hanz (32) and James Little (15).

Stephen was accidentally killed by a blast in a stone quarry in Bedford County, Pa.
