Notes for Harold F. Glunt
Harold served in the Navy Reserves until 1960 and then worked fro Republic Steel in Warren, Oh. He began as a machinist apprenctice and eventually became supervisor of the Cold Strip. In 1966, he started his own machine shop in Cortland and moved it to Warren in 1971. His company, Glunt Industries, grew to over 250 employees. It repaired and built steel and aluminum mill equipment throughout the U.S., South America and Asia. Following semi-retirement in 2001 Harold purchased Beacon Broadcasting in Warren and developed a Christian broadcasting network. He was involved in various Christian missionary organizations. Harold was also an accomplished fishman, and won Fish Ohio awards for catches in Lake Erie. He died of cancer in 2010.
