Catherine had gall bladder surgery in February of 1938, but later died of hypostatic pneumonia, contributed by a malignant pancreatic tumor.

Known as Fred or William. In 1910, he was a Furnaceman at a steel mill living with his family in Mifflin Township, Allegheny Township, Pa. His WWI draft registration card in 1918 indicates he was a foreman for Carnegie Steel in Homestead, Pa.
In 1930 and 1940, Fred (or William) was still a steel company foreman. The extended family was living in Pittsburgh, Pa.
