Notes for John (Spouse 1)
John enlisted for the Union cause on July 3, 1863, in Huntingdon, Pa. On July 7 he was mustered in as a musician in Company I of the 46th Pennsylvania militia, and mustered out on August 19, 1863. He became a substitute soldier in Company C, Pennsylvania’s 97th Infantry, on June 1, 1865, enlisted as full musician. He was mustered out at Weldon, NC, on August 28, 1865.

In 1870, John and Maggie were living in Huntingdon, Pa. John was a saloon keeper.
