Beatrice was the daughter of the deceased Mrs. Emmett Kendig of Altoona, and was the foster child of Morgan and Albina for several years. She was with them in the 1920 Census. In 1930, she was a servant (or employee) at the St. Joseph’s Infants Home in Ebensburg, Pa. In 1935, she became Sister Loretto-Marie of Jesus, in the Carmelite order in Loretto. Sometime after 1940, she was one of six nuns to establish a monastery in Columbus, Oh., and belonged to the order for 24 years.
