Notes for Milton Hays Bolsinger
Milton was a veteran of the Spanish-American War, serving as a Corporal in Company F of the Ohio 6th Infantry. He enlisted in Columbus, Oh., and served from April 25, 1898 to May 24, 1899. He was promoted to Corporal on July 1, 1898, and served in Cuba from December 30, 1898 to May 2, 1899, when he was discharged in Augusta, Ga.

In 1910, Milton was a city plumber living with Jennie and their four children on Second Avenue, Altoona, Pa. In 1915, an attachment was issued for Milton H. “Balsinger” of Johnstown, Pa., for failure to pay a court-ordered sum of $10 a month for the maintenance of his son Berwind at the Oakdale School, and was also was arrested in Altoona, Pa., on charges brought by his wife for dissertion and non-support.

By 1930, Milton and Jennie had relocated to Latrobe.
