Donna was an elementary school teacher in Fairfax Co., Va., for 10 years before moving to Loudoun County in 2000. She taught at Cedar Lane Elementary in Ashburn, Va., and her last position was with the Arcola Elementary School. She is honored at the Memory Garden at Cedar Lane Elementary, dedicated in 2010.
