Walter was a glass worker at the Salem Glass Works, and lived in Salem, NJ. Walter’s parentage of Roseanna is established by the 1940 Census, which shows he was the grandfather of “Bernard Bayer.” He was by that time a machinist. In 1942, he was employed by Anchor Hocking, Salem.
