Settled in Hialeah, Fla.

John was raised in Edgewood Pa., one of thirteen children. He owned a roofing and later a gas company. He married and had a son John born about 1933, then later married Thelma Mackall and had 4 more children. In 1940, John and Thelma were living in Altoona, Pa.; John was manager of a retail furniture store at the time. In about 1954 the family moved to Hialeah, Florida, where John worked for Pan Am Airlines and drove a taxi. He loved horseracing and died of throat cancer in 1976.
