Cyril lived in Pittsburgh and in Erie, Pa. He was an artist, with exhibits of his pottery and a painting entitled “Snowstorm in Grandview Park” shown at the Carnegie galleries. He was also an art teacher at Mt. Washington and for many years at the Cathedral Preparatory School in Erie, Pa.

In 1930, Ruth is listed in the Census as a registered nurse, rooming at the home of Charles and Cecilia Baker Hanlin in Erie, Pa., with her future sister-in-law Jovita Wirtner. She last lived in Emlenton, Pa.
