Mike, remembered as a very popular and promising boy, died in a tractor accident. He and another youth had been in a field feeding livestock and were returning in their tractor on a slight grade at the Russell Dimond farm near Loretto, Pa. The tractor tipped, overturned and rolled over Mike, who was operating the tractor. The other youth was standing on the platform in the rear and jumped clear, but Mike was pronounced dead on arrival at Altoona Hospital.
