Notes for Thomas H. Miller
Thomas was a farmer from Barr Township, Cambria Co. Pa. The 1900 Census indicates that he was renting a farm in Barr Township, living with his wife Margaret, 9 month old son Albert and 14 year old servant, Annie Cassidy. A relative recalls that Annie was an adopted child who lost her parents in a horse and buggy incident.

The 1905 death certificate of their son Vincent places the family members in the vicinity of Jeannette and Latrobe, in Westmoreland County. Thomas died of a fractured skull following an accidental fall down cellar steps. A relative relates that he was actually hit over the head and fell down the steps while being robbed.
Notes for Margaret Ann (Spouse 1)
Maggie was raised in Blacklick Township, Cambria Co., Pa. She died a few weeks after childbirth and a relative recalls reading that she suffered from blood poisoning.
