Henry was raised in Carroll Township, Cambria County, Pa., and later was a laborer living in Munster Township. He became a farmer and lived with his wife Theresa in Barr Township. They operated a farm there for over 50 years and then lived in Carrolltown for Henry’s last 12 years. Henry died of myocarditis at the age of 79.

Theresa died from shock following injuries received by being struck by an automobile, and died an hour and 35 minutes after the incident at Miners Hospital in Spangler, Pa.
