Georgiana lived in Ebensburg, Pa., where she was well-known in the community. She was remembered for her dedication in writing letters of encouragement to those serving in the military, sometimes 5-6 letters a day. She also was a prolific writer to politicians. Georgiana often attended local funerals of those she did not know, helped with fund-raising events and visited prison inmates.

Elmer lived in Ebensburg, Pa., where he was the owner of the Lauer Linoleum Shop.
