Henry was a Chief Petty Officer in the US Navy, and served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He served for a time aboard the aircraft carrier USS Valley Forge in Norfolk, Va. Henry lived in Sinnemahoning and Elizabethtown, Pa., where he was head of the powerhouse for Masonic Homes.
