Addam died in a car accident on the Pennsylvania Turnpike near Valley Forge, Pa. He was a passenger in a car driven by Susan Wachter, the mother of his girlfriend Shannon. Susan was in the passing lane and veered the car left while looking for the switch to unlock doors. She then overcorrected to the right and the sports utility vehicle flipped six times. Susan and Addam, who was thrown from the car, died. Shannon and her two-year-old son Caleb survived.

Addam was a driver for Rightenour Hauling since 1999, and was previously a part-time cook at Zach’s Sports & Spirits.
