Notes for James Duffey
James immigrated in 1850 and by 1870 the family was living in Ishpening Twp., Marquette Co., Mich. A Canadian census record from 1871 places James as an Irish Catholic hotel keeper in Toronto. By 1885, James was a landlord by occupation and the the family was in Renville Co., Minn. The 1900 Census indicates they were living in Norfolk Twp. in that same county. By 1910, James and Catherine settled with the family of their daughter Mary Ditter in Yakima, Wash.
