In 1900, Bertha and William lived in Mantrap Twp., Hubbard Co., Minn. In 1910, they were in Renton, Wash. In 1916, they relocated to Bole, Teton Co., Mont. The 1920 Census shows they were living on the livestock farm owned by their son Charles, on Chestnut Road in that county.
By 1930 Bertha, as a widow, was living with the family of her son Jack in Choteau, Teton Co. By 1935, she was living in Choteau with three of her single sons: Jack, Charles and Patrick. In 1956, Bertha moved to be with her daughter Mary Loretta in San Diego, Ca.
