Notes for Edward Giles Farabaugh
Ed's farm in Allegheny Township, Cambria Co., Pa., near Bradley Junction, Pa., was adjacent to the farm of his brother Jim. It was the upper half of the original Farabaugh tract, which he purchased from Jim and later sold to an Ed Smithbower, who in turn sold it to George Smithbower of Cresson, Pa. Ed later lived in Coupon, Pa. At the time of his death, he was living with his daughter Martha Lawn in Gallitzin, Pa.

Although Ed’s given middle name was Giles according to several sources, he referred to himself as Edward C. Farabaugh and family members do recall that the middle name Charles was used.
