Jim was tragically killed during service as a volunteer fireman. He was the driver of a fire truck en route to a barn fire in Clymer, Pa., when it veered off the road on a curve in Barr Township, Cambria County, struck a tree, overturned and caught fire. He was pronounced dead at Miners Hospital in Spangler, Pa.
