In 1918, Peter was a riveter at an Ohio Shipyard in Cleveland. He is identified as a salesman at the time of his 1919 marriage. In the 1920 Census, Peter and his wife “Marie” were living with his parents at 2217 Prospect venue Cleveland, in an extended family household that included a physician tenant and 16 lodgers. Peter was emplyed by his father’s auto business firm. They lived next to the Trinity Cathedral Church Home, which is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

Peter then appears in the 1921 City Directory for Cleveland, as an auto worker living at 8316 Lake Avenue. At the time of his second amrriage in 1925, Peter is identified as a policeman.

In the 1940 Census, Peter is found living at the home of his brother Leon, in Detroit Mich.
Notes for Karl McCall (Spouse 2)
Karl was an automobile salesman. In 1930, he and Marie were living in Lincoln Park, Mich.

Karl was a highly accomplished trapshooter. He won 25 championship titles from 1925 until his death in 1949. He won the Michigan all-around title awards in 5 different years. He was also chosen for first team All-America honors in 1931 and 1941. Karl was an industry reprsentative for the Western Cartridge Company. He was inducted into the American Trapshooting Association’s Hall of Fame in 1980.

In 1931, Karl won the North American Clay Target Championship, held in Vandalia, Oh., in dramatic fashion. Four competitors shot 199 out of 200 targets. In the 25-target shootoff rounds, one missed in the 2nd round and another lost out when he forgot to load his gun in the 3rd. Karl and Frank M. Troeh of Portland, Ore., shot flawlessly until the latter missed in the 6th round.

Karl was killed in a three-car collision on U.S. 24, five miles north of Monroe, Mich. He was returning to Lincoln Park from a trapshooting meet in Toledo and caused the accident when trying to pass another car.
