Notes for Peter William Beckett
In 1918, Peter was a riveter at an Ohio Shipyard in Cleveland. He is identified as a salesman at the time of his 1919 marriage. In the 1920 Census, Peter and his wife “Marie” were living with his parents at 2217 Prospect venue Cleveland, in an extended family household that included a physician tenant and 16 lodgers. Peter was emplyed by his father’s auto business firm. They lived next to the Trinity Cathedral Church Home, which is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

Peter then appears in the 1921 City Directory for Cleveland, as an auto worker living at 8316 Lake Avenue. At the time of his second amrriage in 1925, Peter is identified as a policeman.

In the 1940 Census, Peter is found living at the home of his brother Leon, in Detroit Mich.
Notes for Marion Augusta (Spouse 1)
Marion appropriated the name “Marie.” In 1925, at the time of her second marriage, she is identified as a saleslady in Detroit, Mich. In 1930, she coincidentally was living on Marion Street in Lincoln Park.

In 1935, she was living in Hot Springs, Ark. In 1940, she was living alone and working as a masseuse in Paducah, Ky.
