Elenora was raised in Carroll Township, Cambria County, Pa. Following her marriage to Walter Wolf in 1900, they lived at his family’s household in Altoona, Pa., where Walter was an engine inspector. By 1910, Walter was a machinist for the railroad. The couple had 5 children and was situated in East Conemaugh. In 1920, Walter is listed as a farmer in Gallitzin Township with Elenora and six of their children. By 1930, Walter is a coal miner and the family is located in Coupon, Pa. The 1940 Census finds Walter as a farmer, with his family in Coupon.

In 1910, Walter was a railroad machinist in East Conemaugh, Pa., with tthe household comprising of his wife Elenor E., children Francis W., Gertrude M., Elenor M., Walter J. and brothers-in-law Walter and Charles E. Lauer.
