Notes for Ernest William Burley
Ernest was raised in Carroll Township, Cambria County, Pa. In 1910, he was a farm laborer, living with his young family in Carrolltown. In 1918, he was a mine laborer living in Carrolltown, working for the Bakerton Coal Co. By 1930, the family settled in Washington County, Pa., where Ernest became a steel mill laborer.
